Melike Turkish Cuisine, whose flagship eatery is in Ossining, has now opened up a Mount Kisco venue, located at 15 East Main Street.
On an Instagram post announcing the new location, one person commented, “Great news! Can’t wait to eat clean and good Turkish food in Mt Kisco!”
Owner Erdal Nehir learned traditional Turkish recipes from his father and grandmother, according to the eatery’s website.
After training as a chef in Dubai, Nehir traveled back to America, where he opened the first Melike restaurant (named after his daughter).
Since then, Melike has wowed customers with its fresh, traditional meals.
“Outstanding food,” wrote Saul M. of New York on Melike’s Yelp page. “I thought the Turkish Cuisine in White Plains was excellent yet this is a step above.”
Saul noted that “all dishes were fresh and delicious” and said the moussaka he had was “just superb..”
“The bechamel sauce was rich and creamy and a decent portion served with rice.”
Melike’s dishes include dolma (stuffed grape leaves), shish kebabs, tabbouleh salad, falafel, and more. To wash down the meal, Melike offers drinks such as Turkish coffee and wine.
“Came here for lunch on a lazy Sunday and it was fantastic,” wrote Jay H. of Ardsley.
“Everything [exceeded] expectations in terms of taste and quality. My kids are pick[y] eaters and the fact that they [ate] nearly everything is a testament to how delicious the food was.”
“I'm so happy to have found this place!”
Melike is open Tuesdays through Sundays at both locations. For more information, click here.
